Quantity Surveyor – Civils & Groundworks Subcontractor
Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

£65-£70k salary + company car or equivalent car allowance
I'm currently working with a well-established and rapidly growing civils and groundworks subcontractor based in Wisbech, who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding workload.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has built an excellent reputation in the region and continues to win repeat work across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple civils and groundworks projects, working closely with the delivery teams and directors.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Full commercial management of projects from tender through to final account
* Preparing and submitting valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
* Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
* Managing subcontractor packages and accounts
* Assessing variations, change control, and cost recovery
* Supporting procurement and tendering where required
* Working closely with site and operational teams to maximise margins
What They're Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils and/or groundworks is essential
* Strong understanding of subcontractor environments
* Good commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
* Confident communicator, able to work closely with both site and senior management
* Well organised, proactive, and commercially minded
