Our client, an Insurance Services Company based in Goudhurst, is looking to recruit a part-time Account Handler/ Administrator. The hours are circa 20 hours per week over 3/4 days. The role is being offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
Account Handler/ Administrator - Main Tasks of Job:
The following is a more detailed overview of some of the main tasks; full training will be provided, and it is not an exhaustive list. Tasks include administration, work over the telephone, occasionally face to face, marketing and attending events.
New Insurance Enquiries
* Diary after all activities to achieve timely responses.
* Set up a new file folder in the system to provide a client reference number.
* Using the system templates, send out by email or post, relevant documentation for the new Client to complete and return to us.
* Keep the diary system up to date to monitor receipt of documentation in a timely manner.
* Check that all forms have been completed correctly and seek clarification from the Client if necessary.
* Send documentation to the Insurer for a new quotation.
* Check quotation matches proposal.
* Send the quotation to the new Client for approval with the required response time.
* If accepted, make arrangements for payment of the premium and documents to be sent to the client, and chase for payment.
* If rejected, seek reasons why and liaise with the Insurer to ascertain if alternative terms can be arranged.
* Once the premium has been received and the insurer’s documentation has been sent to the Client, diary for renewal terms one month in advance for the following year.
Existing Insurance Clients
* Diary after all activities
* Retrieve files from diary system in a timely manner.
* Send renewal declarations and other documents to insureds to obtain quotations.
* Diary and chase for the return of information.
* Check thoroughly returned information for changes.
* Request renewal terms from insurers.
* Check that the renewal terms accord with the requirements, as activities, etc., may have changed. Then, send the request to the Client to thoroughly check the details and advise us of any changes.
* Diary the file to chase the Client for a response; when received, check the details. If different from last year, make sure the adjustments are advised to the insurer.
* The insurer will send new renewal terms for checking, and if everything is correct, we will send them to the Client.
* Make sure the Client agrees to the renewal terms and make arrangements for payment of the premium.
* Should the Client query the renewal terms, seek exact reasons why
* – try to resolve or refer to the insurer for an alternative quote.
* Once renewal agreed, place file back in diary for another year, diary at least one month in advance to send out renewal declarations.
Claims & Other Work
* To assist with claims work for the claims company
* To assist with other work related to the insurance and claims companies.
* To assist with marketing, development, and accounts.
Hourly rate: £12.50 per hour.
Due to our client’s location, your transport is essential.
