Our award-winning, top 75, full-service law firm is looking for a Paralegal to undertake debt recovery work on behalf of the firm. Whilst the successful applicant will primarily report to a Partner in the Commercial
Litigation team, the work undertaken and results obtained will be of importance to the wider firm and will involve exposure to the wider firm and its Senior Partner and Finance Director.
The role is based at our Head Office in Spinningfields, Manchester city centre.
The role:
* The role is primarily to undertake debt recovery work in relation to the firm's debts and will include a variety of legal and administrative tasks including but not limited to:
* Managing a caseload of debt recovery files with close supervision;
* Preparing letters of claim and court proceedings for issue;
* Drafting letters to third parties and instructions to counsel;
* Liaising with counsels' chambers and the court;
* Creating indexes and preparing electronic and paper bundles for court hearings;
* Assisting in the preparation of witness statements and other enclosures to formal documents;
* Assisting in relation to the production and review of disclosure; and
* Attending training seminars to develop knowledge and understanding, and to be aware of ongoing changes to procedural rules and developments in case law.

* Experience in a paralegal role (commercial litigation/debt recovery in particular) would be advantageous but is not essential.
