Are you looking for a new opportunity in your career? Do you fancy putting your stamp on a brand-new role within a busy manufacturing environment? We are looking for an individual who can bring a deep knowledge of rider operated trucks combined with health and safety to become our Forklift Truck Instructor. Working across our sites in Harrogate and Knaresborough you will be responsible for overseeing ROLT (Rider Operated Lift Truck) practices relating to training, monitoring and assessing. This will include delivery of high-quality training, reviewing and developing new courses and conducting ACOP (Approved Code of Practice) monitoring across all Taylors sites. This role will be key in the development of ROLT practices ensuring we consistently meet future needs and industry requirements as the business continues to grow. This full time, 37.5 hours per week role can be worked flexibly, balancing your individual needs with business requirements across different shift patterns covering days, evenings and occasional night and weekend work patterns. About you Passionate, driven and future focussed. You will have a genuine passion for training others combined with an adaptable approach to meet a range of learning styles. Your enthusiasm in instructing others, will feed through into ways of working that continue to promote safety. This stand-alone role is ideal for someone who likes to blend independent work with collaborating with others, giving you the capacity to effectively manage and prioritise your workload. You will need to be motivated to complete a range or tasks from administration, to supporting new drivers as well as using your influential and decision-making skills to deliver best practice. With a forward-thinking style you will be comfortable in applying your attention to detail with your problem-solving skills to address any issues at the earliest opportunity, taking a proactive approach. This is a real opportunity for you shape our approach to truck training and make it your own. You need to have a valid Forklift Truck licence and experience of working with a range of ROLT trucks (particularly Reach, Counterbalance and Very Narrow Aisle Man-Up (VNA)). A Lift Truck Instructor qualification would be beneficial, but training can be provided for the successful candidate.
