Overview
This role is based in Moorgate, London, within modern co-working facilities. The organisation is a global biopharmaceutical leader focusing on prescription medicines, oncology, vaccines, and animal health products. The Governance and Process Assurance and Foundational Capabilities (GPA&FC) team combines UK Business Practices, Medical Ethics and Integrity, UK Privacy and Foundational Capabilities Leads, and is responsible for UK governance frameworks, privacy, SOP management, process assurance, ABPI Code of Practice compliance, and foundational training capabilities.
This role aims to sustain Governance and Process Assurance and to build foundational and strategic capabilities to enable high‑standard activities and differentiate our ways of working in the UK industry.
Responsibilities
This is a 12‑month programme within the UK Governance & Process Assurance, Privacy and Foundational Capabilities team. You will gain experience across a range of areas working with a dynamic and diverse team.
* Develop knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the corporate environment, including products and disease areas.
* Help ensure a strong compliance network within the organisation.
* Develop, lead and deliver initiatives including patient‑focused projects as part of the Patient Engagement team.
* Assist in adopting innovative technologies to support strategies, including process simplification and automation (AI and CoPilot).
* Work with the Privacy team to align privacy across the business.
* Assist in running training programmes to ensure employees have necessary skills and capabilities.
* Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Marketing and other cross‑functional teams to achieve objectives and develop confidence, communication and presentation skills.

Requirements
* Studying for a B.Sc. in life sciences, Pharmacy or an equivalent healthcare qualification.
* Project management experience with examples of delivering initiatives from start to finish with clear goals.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated numeric, IT and analytical skills.
* Experience in governance, processes assurance, compliance, privacy or training is preferred.
* Must currently be studying at a UK university and seeking to complete a 12‑month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree.
