NXTGEN is recruiting for multiple modern and forward-thinking Accountancy Practices to appoint Accounts Assistants and Senior Accountants across locations including Ipswich, Norwich and surrounding areas. These roles offer clear progression routes, tailored to individual goals and a supportive environment to develop technical skills and client relationships.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns for a varied client base.
* Support with VAT returns and management accounts.
* Carry out bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant.
* Liaise directly with clients, answering queries and resolving issues.
* Work alongside senior accountants, assisting with client advisory projects.
What Were Looking For / Qualifications
* Approximately 2 years minimum experience within a practice environment.
* Candidates from industry will be considered, but you must be motivated to develop your career in practice and enjoy working with local clients.
* AAT Level 4 qualified or currently working towards it.
* Experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software would be advantageous.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
