Job Specification
The Role
The Head of Music Programme’s primary responsibility is to research and develop the Festival’s music programme under the guidance of the Festival Director, and to deliver all musical elements of the Festival. This includes planning and scheduling, producing final performances, and managing the wider music team.
The Festival’s regular music programme spans orchestral, chamber, traditional, folk and contemporary styles, as well as staged opera and opera in concert.
Under Festival Director Nicola Benedetti’s vision, the role will develop innovations in the presentation of all music performances, including initiatives such as informal music venues and programmes that give insight into repertoire and the musicians.
