Job Overview
As a stores laboratory support worker in Blood Sciences, the post holder works under the supervision of qualified scientists, completing delegated tasks required for the delivery of a fit‑for‑purpose, 24/7 medical laboratory service analysing and reporting on blood, urine, faeces and other body materials, to achieve efficient and effective patient care and resource management.
Main duties of the job
The Blood Sciences Department at Ysbyty Gwynedd is looking to appoint a full‑time Band 3 Medical Laboratory Stores Assistant. The role complements the expertise of experienced scientists and science assistants and is part of a fast‑paced laboratory diagnostics service. The successful candidate will need a basic knowledge of laboratory services and be able to demonstrate a capacity to learn and develop, with a drive to deliver an excellent service for the benefit of the community. The role requires strong team‑working skills, good communication, delivering quality service, and treating others with respect and dignity.
