Availability Window – Days and times when availability is required: Sun 18:00–22:00, Tue 19:00–23:00, Wed 19:00–23:00, Fri 19:00–23:00, Sat 15:00–23:00.
Pay – Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but opportunities to work fewer hours (minimum 12) are available as well.
The availability windows are the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility, so if your available times match closely but not exactly, we’d still love to hear from you.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you’ll deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats. Our Customer Delivery Drivers meet and talk to customers in their homes every day. This role is about more than driving: it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.
It’s hands-on, physical and varied. No two shifts are the same, and customers may need help in many ways. You’ll feel like your own boss for much of the day, delivering to customers, with a team of Managers and colleagues back at base to support you when needed.

You will be responsible for
Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy
* Leaving the customer’s yard clean and free of rubbish; pick up litter as needed
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
* Loading the van and checking roadworthiness
* Discussing any changes to orders with customers, including substitutions; offering refunds as needed
* Handling products/deliveries with care
* Explaining to customers that substitutions will not incur extra charges
* Delivering within the customer’s time slot
* Calling the customer before arriving if early
* Calling the store if running 30 minutes or more late
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and ensure the store is best for customers
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change
* Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations; balance home and work
* Share ideas with management to improve the store for customers
* A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
