Position Details
Location: This role can be based in the Manchester/Cheshire Area
Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and residential camps.

About the Role
We are seeking a committed and practising Christian with a passion for developing and delivering Ministry with Children, a key mission area of The Salvation Army.
This exciting opportunity involves engaging children & their families through initiatives that meet needs and promote positive outcomes. You will work as part of a team across the North West region, investing in collaborative relationships with Divisional and local leaders to enhance existing children’s ministry and explore new mission opportunities.
The Salvation Army ministers to physical, social, and spiritual needs. This role aims to encourage full participation of children in the life of The Salvation Army and to integrate them into communities of faith.
Candidate Requirements
* A nationally recognized qualification in children’s work or working towards it, or relevant experience in children’s discipleship and spirituality. Transferable skills will also be considered.
* Experience mentoring and supporting children, families, and children’s leaders.
* Practical experience in developing children’s outreach projects, such as children’s clubs, Messy Church, or school-based mentoring.
* Ability to work independently, think critically and creatively, and adapt to changing circumstances.
* Knowledge of and ability to work within Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional residential work.
* Full driving license and own vehicle.
Occupational Requirement: The successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian, in sympathy with the doctrines, purposes, aims, and objectives of The Salvation Army.
