Overview
We’re looking for two Payroll Analysts to join our Bradford-based team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role offers hybrid working, with two days per week based in the office, and will focus on end‑to‑end payroll administration within Blume Business Solutions.
Responsibilities
* Resolve complex payroll queries and issues, escalating when required.
* Process payroll transactions accurately and on time.
* Support payroll payments, including credit transfers and emergency CHAPS payments.
* Ensure accurate statutory deductions and timely submission of all statutory returns, including taxable benefits.
* Manage non‑statutory deductions, ensuring correct payments and returns to third‑party organisations.
* Deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused payroll advice to employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
* Maintain compliance with payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
* Monitor statutory and company changes and support timely payroll system updates in collaboration with IT teams.
* Contribute to payroll projects and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and controls.
Qualifications
* Essential
* Proven experience and knowledge of payroll operations, including BACS processing and company pension schemes.
* Working knowledge of payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, salary sacrifice, benefits in kind, and attachment of earnings orders.
* Proven experience of end‑to‑end payroll processing, including month‑end and year‑end activities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills and experience of Oracle systems and workflow or case‑management tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
* Demonstrated experience managing complex, high‑volume payrolls efficiently.
* Desirable
* Awareness of developments within payroll and Shared Services environments.
* Experience providing timely, detailed payroll reporting, information, and advice.
* Understanding of process improvement principles and their practical application.
