Finance Manager - Maternity Cover Tewkesbury | £55,000 (pro rata) | 6-9 month Fixed Term Contract Full-time | Office-based (occasional flexibility available) An established and values-driven organisation in Tewkesbury is seeking a qualified Finance Manager (QBE or CIMA or ACCA) to provide maternity cover on a 6-9 month contract. This is an opportunity to make a real impact within a not-for-profit organisation known for its supportive culture, long-serving team, and focus on meaningful, mission-led work. You'll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day finance operations, supporting a team of three, and contributing to ongoing systems and process improvement projects. The successful candidate will be someone who can hit the ground running, operate confidently across multiple entities, and lead with both competence and care. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly management accounts Financial reporting and ownership of statutory records Month-end and year-end close processes Completion of VAT returns and reconciliations Management of a small finance team (2 Finance Assistants and 1 Assistant Accountant) Oversight of accounting across multiple group entities Involvement in finance system improvements, including a new PO system and CRM implementation About You: Qualfied by experience or Fully qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) Strong technical experience in financial and management accounting Confident producing reconciliations and managing VAT processes Previous experience leading or mentoring junior team members Able to work hands-on and independently in a small team environment Based within commutable distance to Tewkesbury and open to working on site 5 days per week (flexibility considered where needed) Why Apply?
