We have an excellent opportunity available for you to grow your career and make a difference at Nomad Foods! Joining us as the Head of Group Agriculture, you’ll be responsible for the Nomad Foods Agriculture department, sourcing fresh vegetables at required cost and quality and volume for Nomad branded demands. Managing c.150,000 tons across 30 different crop varieties, this role has direct impact on the P&L of our key business units.
About the role…
* Lead the end to end value creation strategy for agriculture, ensuring the function delivers competitive advantage across cost, quality, sustainability, and resilience from seed to finished goods.
* Support the development of strong supplier, grower and cooperative relationships across all regions
* Direct Line management to the Nomad team of 6 regional agriculture managers and leadership of the wider team agriculture team.
* Delivery of vegetables to manufacturing facilities at the right time, meeting cost and quality targets.
* Lead the team aligned with the Nomad Agriculture Research function to evolve agronomic and productivity initiatives to deliver increasingly resilient and sustainable supply of cost-conscious high-quality vegetables.
* Maintain appropriate and responsible risk management culture for people and produce
About you…
* Degree level in Agriculture or Crop Science or working experience equivalent.
* Experience of Agri leadership role within FMCG experience preferred.
* Must have team management experience.
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
* Agility to flex between strategy and operational.
