Area Sales Manager - Electrical Cable Management
Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales of electrical cable management solutions across the East Midlands region, covering Sheffield, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Lincoln, Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester.
Role Overview
As a field sales professional, you will sell a wide range of high‑quality cable management products, including cable trunking, wire baskets, and storage boxes. Approximately 50 % of your time will be spent engaging distributors, electrical wholesalers, and suppliers, while the remaining 50 % will focus on motivating demand with specialist electrical contractors, M&E contractors, and installers.
Key Responsibilities
* Sell products to distributors, wholesalers, and direct‑to‑contractor accounts.
* Develop and maintain new business relationships (60 %) while managing existing accounts (40 %).
* Handle orders ranging from £500 to £25 000 for large projects.
* Generate new business sales and achieve sales targets.
Required Qualifications
* Experience selling electrical or building services products into distributor or wholesale markets.
* Background in electrical wholesaling or contracting with knowledge of the M&E market.
* Established contracts with electrical wholesalers, distributors, merchants, contractors, and installers.
* Experience with cable management or cable fixing products is preferred.
* Track record of generating new business sales.
* Personable, team‑player, driven, and enthusiastic.
Remuneration & Benefits
Up to £46,000 base salary plus up to approximately £14,000 in bonus. Benefits include company car, company credit card, BUPA healthcare, up to 10 % pension, 26 holidays plus bank holidays, tablet, mobile, and laptop.
