Supply Chain Planner - 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
đź“Ť Location: Daventry, UK (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
đź•’ Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join our Global Planning and Logistics team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This hybrid role is based at our UK Logistics Centre in Daventry and plays a key role in ensuring smooth planning operations, cross-functional coordination, and efficient material and inventory management.
Responsibilities
* Planning & Coordination: Manage material planning interface with the UK Logistics Centre Operations.
* Oversee aftermarket kitting and production scheduling processes.
* Coordinate supplier returns with Supply Chain Services and site teams.
* Manage customer returns within the EMEA region in collaboration with Sales.
* Coordinate creation and modification of Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASNs) to ensure seamless product receipt.
* Collaborate with Inbound Operations to resolve errors and maintain low cycle times in the closed-loop process.
* Support internal escalation processes with operational and transportation teams.
* Drive prioritisation across operational activities (e.g., Hazmat, receiving).
Inventory & Process Optimization
* Inventory & Process Optimization: Support inventory optimisation activities and planning system improvements.
* Monitor and adjust planning system parameters to improve supply signals.
* Identify and mitigate potential supply chain failures.
* Analyze and interpret KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Participate in functional process improvement teams.
Required Skills & Competencies

* Materials Planning Expertise - Proficient with planning systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Advanced Planning Command Centre, BI dashboards).
* Inventory & Scheduling - Experienced in PFEP, master supply scheduling, part change control, and KPI management.
Qualifications & Experience
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of one internship or equivalent work experience in a supply chain function.
* Technical Skills:
* Experience using materials planning systems (SAP or similar).
* Proficiency in Excel and planning analytics tools.
* Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and logistics processes.
