Key responsibilities
1. Serve as the regulatory technical expert, ensuring compliance for new and existing fire projects while interpreting standards for engineering teams.
2. Guide the technical publication team on necessary document changes and oversee clarity in product approval strategies across design and documentation.
3. Prepare and coordinate testing plans, setup systems, and obtain approval results while conducting software and hardware testing for performance improvement.
4. Analyse project risks and deadlines to develop realistic schedules and address compliance concerns with cross-functional teams.
5. Direct a global team in testing methodologies to meet local requirements, maintaining product compliance with the latest regulatory standards.
6. Act as a liaison between regulatory agencies and Honeywell engineering, while identifying test failures and collaborating on corrective actions.
Key skills and qualifications
7. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
8. Solid experience with new product development, agency approvals or in an electrical/electronic testing laboratory
9. Full lifecycle project management experience and the ability to provide understanding of key technical terms
10. Strong problem-solving skills: prioritize, identify root causes & take corrective actions
11. Experience with relevant certification agencies: UL/ULC, ETL, CSA, TUV, BRE, CNPP AFNOR, VDS, etc.
12. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
