Experience required…
Essential:
6. Level 4 qualification (e.g.HNC) or above in a relevant discipline such as transport planning, engineering, geography etc.
7. Significant experience in shaping transport policy and strategy.
8. Experience of transport modelling and business case development.
9. Demonstrate knowledge and experience of project management.
10. Understand the strategic context of how transport schemes are delivered.
11. Able to lead and manage staff and teams.
12. Ability to use analytical and judgmental skills to deliver solutions.
13. Interpersonal skills, able to engage and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
14. Influencing and negotiation skills
15. Project and financial management skills.
16. Effective communication skills including the ability to communicate complex and contentious information both verbally (e.g. presentation) and in writing (e.g. reports).
Desirable:
17. Chartered Transport Planner or other relevant professional qualification
18. Experience using PARAMICS, VISUM or similar microsimulation models
