This role involves regular travel (4 to 5 days per week) to customer sites and may include overnight stays.

Responsibilities

* Perform field calibration and validation of thermal processing equipment, including temperature sensors, instruments, and controllers, in line with ISO/IEC 17025 and AMS 2750 pyrometry requirements.
* Carry out temperature uniformity surveys (TUS), system accuracy tests (SAT), and other thermal mapping procedures required by our customers.
* Support customers with troubleshooting calibration and thermal survey failures and suggest solutions to persistent instrumentation issues.
* Attend customer appointments, including travel and occasional overnight stays, adapting to variable work environments.
* Promote professional customer service and communicate findings clearly to clients and colleagues.
* Participate in ongoing training, remaining current with advances in calibration, pyrometry, and heat treatment technology.
* Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience while upholding stringent standards for accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

* Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025, Nadcap, AMS 2750, and regulatory requirements for calibration and thermal surveys in manufacturing environments.

* Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting calibration issues and thermal mapping discrepancies.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting results and advising customers.
* Excellent organization and time management; capacity to self-manage in varied and demanding environments.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
* Training will be provided, although hands-on experience in calibration and thermal survey work, ideally on heat treatment equipment or industrial measurement systems, would be preferred.
* Full, clean UK driving licence required

What we offer

* Opportunities offered for career development, technical skill progression, and professional training.
* Company vehicle (car) for work and personal use.
