A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and resilient teacher to join its team, with a key focus on supporting pupils with behavioural needs.
This school caters for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs with a high percentage of students being on the Autistic Spectrum. The school centres on helping young children develop positive behaviours for learning, emotional regulation and strong foundations for future success. While this is a primary school position, the school is open to considering both primary and secondary trained teachers who can confidently adapt their practice to meet the needs of younger pupils.
The Role:
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons within a primary school environment
Provide targeted support for pupils with behavioural needs
Implement consistent and effective behaviour management strategies
Foster positive relationships that support emotional and social development
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Is passionate about working within a primary setting
Has experience supporting pupils with behavioural challenges (mainstream or specialist)
Can adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of primary-aged learners
Demonstrates calm, consistent and restorative practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
