Wage

£18,000 a year

Providing the candidate matches the profile of what we are looking for then we will be prepared to go to £18k per annum. For this level of pay you need to have work experience or be university level.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

You will receive training, support and encouragement from your teammates and managers from your very first day onwards!

* Source and pre-screen suitable candidates from CV Library, Reed, etc
* Making over 60 cold calls per day to new and old candidates
* Registering candidates, which includes vetting for compliance
* Utilise CRM systems to create, update and maintain profiles and documents for new and old candidates
* Use ATS to track and add new/old candidates
* Support Recruitment Consultants with candidate recruitment and selection
* Shortlist suitable candidates for job vacancies provided to you by Recruitment Consultants
* Use CRM/ATS to record accurate and detailed notes
* Create, post and monitor job adverts
* Build and maintain relationships with candidates and agency workers
* Providing interview feedback to unsuccessful candidates
* Delivering excellent customer service
* Send and respond to emails in a timely manner
* Processing agency worker time sheets
* Recording agency worker time sheets on relevant systems
* Chasing and following up with agency workers where time sheets have not been submitted or approved
* Ensuring time sheets are accurately submitted to clients and approved before relevant deadlines
* Obtain referee details from candidates and then send them out to referees and follow up on any outstanding references
* Identify new business opportunities by passing suitable referee details to Recruitment Consultants for Business Development
* Uploading candidate compliance documents on to relevant systems and client portals
* Answering telephone queries, resolving enquiries and providing advice and information on a wide range of issues such as agency worker time sheets, job adverts, etc
* Taking accurate messages and passing them on to the Recruitment Consultants, etc
* Maintain and uphold company standards, branding and principles

* Identify, progress, and convert leads into new candidates, placements, or clients.
* Source vacancies in line with stakeholder requirements and organisational policies and procedures.
* Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships and their role within the recruitment process.
* Interpret and apply regulation and legislation, share best practice, and advise stakeholders on their application.
* Plan and manage recruitment campaigns to attract candidates, including agreeing objectives with stakeholders and monitoring performance.
* Research, identify and attract candidates using methods to satisfy job requirements, including those with transferrable skills to move from the legacy carbon economy to green economy jobs.
* Process, review, and progress candidate applications.
* Create and present diverse short lists of candidates to stakeholders.
* Inform and advise candidates on the outcome of their application at the individual stages of the recruitment process, including those that have been unsuccessful.
* Manage the recruitment and selection process for candidates, including those who require reasonable adjustments.
* Communicate information through different media, for example face-to-face or online meetings, emails, reports, and presentations.
* Engage with stakeholders to review recruitment processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and improving own performance.
* Review services provided and implemented improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
* Place candidates into roles that match their skills and stakeholder requirements.
* Use technology and software tools to manage information, ensuring compliance with organisation and legislation requirements.
* Challenge poor practice and non-compliance with the recruitment process and escalate where appropriate.
* Identify future changes in the sector that may impact the organisation, for example technology advances.
* Interpret policies to support and promote the delivery of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace, and monitor their impact on recruitment activities.
* Identify and apply sustainable and greener methods of working, for example reducing energy and paper consumption, managing diaries to reduce carbon emissions (hold virtual meetings or attend multiple external meetings on the same day), considering greener options when booking venues for assessment centres or planning recruitment campaigns.
* Identify and maximise opportunities to support the organisation’s business strategy, for example growing client or candidate pipelines.
* Manage resources within budget requirements.
* Respond to stakeholder complaints and escalate where appropriate.

Training schedule

* All training will be carried out within the workplace during working hours
* We aim for you to complete your apprenticeship with the use and ease of e-learning, encouraging you to submit evidence via your eportfolio
* We will set you targets that are specific to your needs, training you as we go on what you need to know
* The qualification will be adapted to suit your exact job description and your organisation’s needs. However, it is flexible and easily fits in with your normal everyday work
* You must complete at least 6 hours a week of off-the-job training and this will be discussed and planned with your employer. This could be in the way of mentoring, job shadowing, spending time on set tasks and assignments and/or researching
* Every 3 months, your trainer and employer will complete a formal Progress Review with you. This will check that you are on target. If you are not, then your plan will be amended, and any additional training and development needs will be addressed
* Full training will be given, leading to a recognised Level 3 Recruiter Standard Qualification
* Off-the-job training will be supported by our Training Provider – Davidson Training UK Ltd
* You will also complete the Functional Skills in maths and English up to and including Level 2 (if you do not already hold the equivalent)

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

* English (grade 4-9 or A*-C)
* Maths (grade 4-9 or A*-C)


Desirable qualifications

A Level in:

Any (grade A*, A, B, C, D or E)

Degree in:

Any (grade Pass)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* Must be educated to college or university level
* Must have at least 12 months of previous work experience (ideally within an office environment)
* Good general level of education
* Eager to contribute to the success of the company

* Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
