What skills and experience we're looking for
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain and develop the school’s IT resources for safe and effective use by pupils and staff.
2. Support and advise pupils and staff in appropriate IT use.
3. Provide first and second level technical support for IT, telecoms, and AV equipment.
4. Install new IT equipment, operating systems, and software as directed.
5. Maintain network access rights, including creating and disabling user accounts.
6. Perform routine and non-routine checks, maintenance, and fault investigation.
7. Assist with IT equipment for assemblies, meetings, and presentations.
8. Prepare IT equipment for events, occasionally outside regular hours.
9. Maintain and repair IT equipment, liaising with third-party services as needed.
10. Diagnose and resolve workstation OS and software issues.
11. Assist with backup routines.
12. Ensure safe storage and disposal of equipment and materials.
13. Maintain stock records and asset register for IT equipment.
14. Update the IT knowledge base on SharePoint.
15. Assist teaching staff and undertake other duties as required.
16. Support classroom IT needs, including equipment bookings and delivery.
17. Assist with maintenance and installation of CCTV and access control systems.
18. Work within Data Protection and GDPR requirements.
19. Assist with staff IT training.
20. Support school exams involving IT resources.
