The role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Contracts and Compliance Manager to join our friendly Commercial Team at Petauri Evidence.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic and rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate would have a high work ethic, be team-oriented and hands-on in a varied role.

Duties

This is a permanent position ideally based in our office in Bicester. Working alongside the Commercial Director, this role will involve a wide variety of duties as follows:

Contract Management and Coordination


* Review, redline, and negotiate a variety of client-facing contracts including:
* Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
* Single Project Agreements (SPAs)
* Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
* Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
* Monitor contract renewal timelines and proactively initiate renewal discussions with clients.
* Track and report on contract status, risks, and obligations.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders including consultants, project managers, and the US legal team.
* Liaise with client legal and procurement teams to resolve contract issues and finalize agreements. Both via email and over the telephone / virtual meetings.
* Maintain accurate records of all executed contracts and ensure proper filing and version control.
* Review and manage licence agreements and property leases.

Compliance & Risk Management

* Identify and track exclusivity clauses and assess their impact on new business opportunities.
* In conjunction with the US legal team and local advisors, provide guidance on data protection clauses and assist in compliance efforts related to GDPR and similar regulations.
* Support internal teams with compliance-related queries and documentation.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of internal contract and compliance policies.
* Participate in the Data Governance Group and take relevant actions pertaining to this.

Stakeholder Coordination

* Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Essential

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelors degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Paralegal qualification preferred but not essential).
* 3+ years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or compliance, ideally within a consultancy or pharmaceutical environment.
* Strong understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations (CIPP/E preferred but not essential).
* Experience working with MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs in a client-facing role.

Skills & Attributes

* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Confident in reviewing and redlining legal documents.
* Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
* Effective communicator with the ability to liaise with legal, procurement, and business stakeholders.
* IT skills are essential including proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems (e.g., DocuSign, SharePoint, or similar).
* Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

Desirable

* Experience working with US-based legal teams or international clients.
* Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
* Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations
