Overview
AWE is looking for a Project Coordinator to support matrix project teams in achieving agreed timescales and aligning project progress. The role focuses on facilitating communication, maintaining project documentation, and providing administrative support to enable successful project delivery.
Location and Working Pattern
Location: RG7 4PR, between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Working pattern: 9‑day working fortnight. Flexible working requests are considered.
Package
Salary from £30,450. Additional benefits are detailed below.
Responsibilities
- Apply processes to support lower risk tasks within a formal project environment.
- Coordinate activities of project teams to ensure smooth and successful on‑time delivery of complex projects under the guidance of a project manager.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
- Self‑motivation and the desire to foster good team morale and spirit to motivate others.
- Organisational flair and IT skills used to create reports, action plans and manage project requests.
- Attention to detail to provide accurate reports and project documentation.
- Good listening skills enabling requests to be assimilated and converted into action plans.

Security Clearance & Eligibility
Applicants must obtain and maintain necessary security clearance. The role requires a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past five years for security clearance and ten years for DV clearance. The clearance will be funded by AWE.
