Project Manager – Nuclear Projects
Location: Preston (Site-Based)
An experienced Project Manager is required to deliver projects within a highly regulated nuclear site environment in Preston. Reporting to the Programme Lead, you will be responsible for managing projects in line with agreed contractual terms, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives.
This role provides leadership, structure, and governance to project teams while ensuring compliance with internal project management standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the safe delivery of assigned projects, making Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality (EHS&Q) the top priority
*
Manage all aspects of project delivery including scope, schedule, cost, and quality
*
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and execution plans
*
Monitor performance against baseline and forecast targets
*
Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and opportunities
*
Manage contractual requirements and drive value through change control
*
Oversee design, engineering, procurement, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and testing activities
*
Provide accurate project reporting, including financial and status updates
*
Lead stakeholder engagement and governance activities
*
Delegate responsibilities where appropriate while retaining overall accountability
*
Support bid and proposal activities when required
Essential Requirements
*
Recognised Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent) or relevant degree
*
Proven experience delivering projects within the nuclear decommissioning sector
*
Strong understanding of project controls, risk management, and change management
*
Experience working within highly regulated environments
*
Competent in MS Office and general IT systems

Strong stakeholder and contract management capability

Experience working to structured project management frameworks
