This role will provide exposure to a broad range of accounting duties while offering flexibility and the opportunity to further develop your skills within a supportive finance environment. About the Job Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accounts Assistant will support the finance team by ensuring the accurate processing of transactions, maintaining financial records, and providing general administrative support. The successful candidate will be responsible for and assisting with completing the following duties: Assist with daily accounting tasks and data entry Process purchase ledger invoices Process supplier invoices for approval, complete monthly creditor reconciliations, and prepare supplier payments Complete monthly creditor reconciliations Post bank transactions daily Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Reconcile company credit cards and ensure receipts are uploaded and recorded accurately Maintain accurate filing of financial documents Support month-end and year-end closing procedures Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations Your Skills & Experience At least 2 years experience in a similar finance or accounts role Experience completing bank reconciliations Basic understanding of accounting principles Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organisational and time-management skills Basic knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (training will be provided) Willingness to learn and follow instructions For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
