Join a SEND SEMH secondary setting dedicated to supporting young people with SEMH needs, where every student is given the opportunity to flourish. You will deliver engaging, adaptive and individualised English lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students to achieve recognised qualifications.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support academic and personal progress
* Support students' wellbeing through a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach
* Track progress and implement interventions to maximise achievement
* Provide pastoral support as a tutor, building strong relationships with students and families
* Promote positive behaviour using restorative practices
* Contribute to a collaborative team culture, enrichment activities and ongoing CPD
Qualifications & Skills
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ideally with experience in SEMH, SEND or complex needs
* Strong behaviour management skills, with knowledge of restorative or trauma-informed approaches
* Ability to use adaptive teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
* Experience supporting students' social, emotional and personal development
* Confident in assessing, tracking and reporting student progress
* Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills, with a flexible and resilient approach
