Responsibilities
Welding & Repair : carryout weld, stud extraction on Aircraft engine parts
Manufacturing & Repair: Fabricate, modify, and repair precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, and moulds.
Machine Operation: Set up and operate various machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts and tools using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers) to ensure close tolerances and standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, regrinding, and preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot breakdowns, identify faults, and implement solutions to minimize production downtime.
Collaboration: Work with engineering and production teams, providing technical input and supporting new product introduction
Requirements
* Apprenticeship or vocational training in Toolmaking, Machining, or a related engineering field.
* Experience with various machine tools and precision measurement equipment.
* Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standard
Desirable
* Relevant experience in the aviation industry or similar environment
* Experience in repair shop environment
* Some away from base travel may be required

You will be working as part of our team supporting operations and your work will consist off but not limited to:-
* Repair of parts for stud removal
* Welding of aircraft components to relevant standard
* Repair and modification of tooling and stands.
* Must be willing to work away from site when required.
The Package
23 days beginning April 01-2026 + bank holidays annual leave
Option of BUPA health package
Working pattern Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00
40 hour working week
Salary to be discussed at interview and subject to relevant experience
