Job Title: Transport Planner Location: Purfleet Salary: £35,000 £40,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm 10:00pm Job Overview We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation. This role is open to candidates with previous planning experience, but we are also keen to hear from individuals with transferable skills from transport, logistics, or warehouse environments who are looking to develop their career in planning. Working as part of a transport team, you will assist in coordinating daily palletised deliveries, helping to ensure efficient routing, vehicle utilisation, and on-time delivery across the UK. Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the planning and coordination of daily pallet deliveries Supporting the creation of efficient delivery routes to maximise vehicle utilisation Helping to plan loads across a fleet including 7.5T and LGV Class 2 vehicles Gaining an understanding of weight limits, cube utilisation, and loading metres Monitoring deliveries and assisting with resolving operational issues Communicating with drivers and warehouse teams to support smooth operations Responding to delays, breakdowns, or changes to the plan Supporting compliance with transport legislation and company procedures Assisting with domestic deliveries linked to import/export operations where required Requirements Previous experience in transport, logistics, or a similar operational role preferred Transport planning or pallet network experience preferred Basic understanding of vehicle loading or route planning preferred Good organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach Willingness to learn and develop within the role Knowledge of ADR / hazardous goods regulations would be beneficial but not essential Benefits Salary: £35,000 £40,000 per annum Monday to Friday working hours (1pm 10pm) 25 days holiday Bank Holidays Holiday entitlement increases to 28 days Bank Holidays with length of service Full training and development opportunities Opportunity to join a busy and growing logistics operation Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: On-site parking Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: On-site parking Work Location: In person
