As an RAC Mobile Mechanic, you’ll bring your technical expertise right to our customers' doors. Whether it’s car services, repairs, or diagnostics, you’ll be making a difference at their homes or workplaces. We have an exciting opportunity for skilled, field-based vehicle technicians to join our rapidly growing team!
We provide the van, tools, and bookings—you bring your personality, customer service skills, and experience. Plus, you’ll have the full support of a network of mobile mechanics, roadside technicians, in-house experts, and RAC professionals. Enjoy ongoing training and the potential for career advancement!

You’re a Friendly Face: One of the best parts of this job is that you’re not just a faceless worker in a garage. You’ll interact with customers at every appointment—answering questions, giving advice, and representing the RAC.
You Love Variety: You’ll perform services, diagnostics, repairs, and checks right on people’s driveways. But it’s about more than just the technical work; you’ll manage stock, reporting, and customer interactions.
You Can Think on Your Feet: We trust our mechanics to make the best decisions for our customers. You’ll tackle a variety of fixes, solve different problems, and meet new people every day.
You’ll Need:
* A level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* A minimum of 3 years of practical experience as a vehicle technician in the motor trade, working with various light vehicles.
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
