About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven
Estimator
to join our growing commercial team. With projects spanning
commercial, industrial, education, extra care and residential sectors
, this role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of schemes across the North West.
As Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in
tendering, cost planning and pricing
, ensuring competitive and accurate submissions that contribute to the continued success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of projects.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender information to produce clear cost breakdowns.
* Work closely with supply chain partners to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
* Collaborate with project managers, site teams and commercial staff throughout project lifecycle.
* Identify risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions within estimates.
* Support the pre-construction and bid teams in preparing high-quality submissions.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and commercial awareness, with the ability to deliver accurate, well-structured and competitive costings across a variety of project types.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
* Track record of pricing projects in one or more of the following sectors: commercial, industrial, education, extra care, residential.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proficient in estimating software and MS Office applications.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build supply chain relationships.
