Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Autism Specialist to work full-time in a welcoming primary school located in Angmering. You will be supporting a child with autism on a 1:1 basis, helping them to engage, progress, and build confidence within the classroom.
What the role involves:
Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with autism
Helping to create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
Implementing personalised strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence
Working closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
What we’re looking for:
Experience working with children with autism or additional needs (school or care setting)
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine desire to make a positive difference
Availability for a full-time role (Monday–Friday, school hours)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
