Early Years / Nursery Assistant Special Educational Needs
Prospero Teaching are working with a specialist Early Years provision currently seeking enthusiastic and caring Early Years or Nursery Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
This inclusive setting, based in Poole, Dorset, caters for children aged 3 to 8 years. The provision offers small class sizes of 6 to 8 pupils and a high staff-to-student ratio, ensuring every child receives the individual care and attention they need to thrive.
The environment includes Autism-specific classrooms, a fully equipped soft play area, sensory spaces, large outdoor areas, and a multi-purpose shared space for PE, training and group activities. These facilities are designed to promote communication, independence and early development through structured play and sensory learning.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about Early Years education and supporting children with special educational needs. It would suit applicants with experience in nursery settings, childcare, SEN support or early intervention.

Experience, Training & Qualifications:
10. Nurturing, patient and creative approach to supporting young children
11. Ability to engage pupils through play and sensory-based activities
12. Good communication and teamwork skills
13. Flexible and proactive when responding to individual needs
14. Experience in Early Years, SEN or childcare desirable
15. Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education, Childcare, or Health & Social Care desirable

17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
18. Provide two professional child-related references
