About the role You will help us understand the condition of our homes, identify where improvements are needed, and support the planning and delivery of future works. Its varied, purposeful work where your attention to detail and people skills help drive real results. What you will do: Carry out the annual programme of stock condition surveys, to ensure the condition of each home, block and scheme is reflected accurately within the asset database, and we can reliably identify and programme future planned maintenance works. Carry out Domestic energy assessments to produce EPC's. Instruct minor repairs identified during the surveys. Work with other members of the Asset team in the design of stock condition surveys using asset management software and hand-held data capture equipment. Undertake other property related inspections and produce written reports as required. What we are looking for: We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds. Whether you already have surveying experience or are starting out with some relevant knowledge and the drive to learn -we'd love to hear from you. Ideally this what we are looking for: O'Level standard or BTEC Level 3 (or equivalent) with grade C or above in English and Maths. (Entry Level or Level 1). Minimum of HNC in construction or building surveying; or Relevant experience within the sector (Level 2). Willingness to undertake training to broaden knowledge (Entry Level or Level 1). Has some relevant training in relation to building management and a willingness to undertake further training to broaden knowledge (Level 2). Has some experience of carrying out building inspections (Level 1). Has extensive training and experience in relation to stock condition and energy surveys (Level 2). Knowledge of the construction of buildings and common faults and defects. (Level 1). Can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using plain English and produce written reports.
