About the Role
As a Residential Care Worker, you will:
* Build and maintain positive relationships with children and their families.
* Provide personal and intimate care to children, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
* Administer medication and carry out health care procedures
* Support children in engaging activities that promote fun and learning.
* Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the highest standards of care.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience in a care setting, particularly with children or individuals with disabilities.
* Understanding of personal care needs and health care procedures.
* Ability to follow care plans and guidelines accurately.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and families.
Soft Skills
We are looking for someone who demonstrates:
* A passion for working with children and a genuine understanding of the challenges they and their families face.
* Empathy and compassion towards children and their families.
* Patience and resilience in challenging situations.
* The ability to work well as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.

* A commitment to enabling children to achieve positive outcomes and providing enjoyable experiences through various activities.
Additional Information
* You will be required to work 2 out of 3 weekends, with additional pay for weekend, bank holiday, and evening shifts.
* A full induction and ongoing training will be provided to support your development.
