 
        
        BBI exists to help our customers create advances that improve health and save lives. We are seeking a Trainee Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a fixed-term, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin. Join our team: advancing health, together.
The Role
As a trainee Maintenance Engineer you will be raining to be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant and production equipment at the BBI Crumlin. Primary focus will be the service provider to manufacturing teams and equipment. You will support project and continuous improvement activities related to engineering activities and assist in conjunction with others, the optimisation of the manufacturing and facilities equipment & systems to meet the standards of service and quality required by BBI and its customers
In this role your responsibilities will include:
 1. To support the maintenance engineers on both mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance issues across the facility.
 2. Undertake planned maintenance, breakdown repair and condition monitoring activities of plant and equipment under supervision.
 3. Report to operations staff on status of machine breakdowns.
 4. Assist with the delivery of departmental based projects.
 5. Attend and contribute to regular team meetings
 6. Proactively identify and implement improvements to operational machine and resource efficiencies whilst considering the impact on other departments.
 7. Promoting a continuous improvement culture within the department and within the manufacturing area’s
 8. Work in conjunction with Operations staff on daily operational engineering related issues and continuous improvement teams.
 9. Assist in the management of sub-contractors as required.
 10. Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems
 11. Responsible for ensuring that a clean, tidy and hazard free working environment is maintained to defined standards
You should apply if:
 12. Experience of applying Lean and/ or Six Sigma techniques
 13. Professional level pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred
 14. Track record of successful completion of technical projects
