We're looking for a Performance Officer to join our Corporate Performance Team and be part of a high-performing, inclusive team that values integrity, collaboration and impact.
Based in the Chief Executive's Office, this offers a unique opportunity to be at the heart of strategic decision-making and to collaborate closely with Chief Executive and senior leadership team to drive the organisation's vision and goals.
Your Role:
As a Performance Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the Council's performance management framework. You'll work closely with services and corporate teams to provide timely, accurate, and insightful analysis that informs strategic planning and service delivery.
* Deliver high-quality performance and analytical products that support intelligence-led decision-making.
* Apply advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, generate insights, and support predictive modelling.
* Monitor progress against critical success factors and support the development of performance indicators.
* Contribute to corporate returns and governance processes, including the Annual Governance Review and Value for Money assessments.
* Build strong working relationships across the organisation and with external partners.
* Promote the use of modern technologies and data tools to enhance service delivery.
* Support the design and delivery of training to build performance and intelligence capability across the Council.

Requirements:
* You are a proactive and analytical thinker with a passion for public service.
* You have substantial experience in data analysis, performance reporting, and insight generation.
* You can communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
* You are confident using modern data tools and technologies.
* You have a Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience*.
* You are flexible, resilient, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
