Healthcare Assistant (Nights)
Position: 36 hours per week
Location: Oaklodge Care Home, Lordsleaze Lane, Chard, TA20 2HN
Pay: £12.88 per hour
Job Overview
Provide personal care and support for residents in a care home setting during overnight hours. Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and enablement workers to support resident outcomes, and collaborate with NHS professionals as part of partnership working.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care needs.
* Facilitate participation in special interests and activities that support health and wellbeing (e.g., arts and crafts, drama, gardening, shopping trips, social occasions).
* Support residents in maintaining routines and promoting safety during night shifts.
* Communicate resident needs and concerns to the multi‑disciplinary team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Provider of care experience preferred but not required.
* Demonstrated values of humility, accountability, achievement, passion, and integrity.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Enhanced DBS check for children and adults.
