Are you looking for a rewarding new job?
Join our #TeamSlighean in North Lanarkshire as a Support Practitioner on a permanent basis. We are seeking caring, compassionate, and flexible colleagues to support individuals in their own homes.
The Role
Your main responsibilities will include supporting an individual with daily living tasks such as shopping, finances, cooking, housework, and personal care. You will be assisting a young man transitioning from hospital to his own home. No two days are the same, and you'll enjoy a variety of activities, from supporting his interests in GBX classics and Celine Dion to facilitating self-care. An empathetic and supportive approach, especially towards challenging behaviors, is essential.
Since the individual has a mobility car, a full UK driving licence with at least 1 year of driving experience is required.
About You
We prioritize your personal qualities over experience and qualifications. We will provide training and support to develop your skills within the Health & Social Care sector. We also offer to fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and annual SSSC registration fees.
Essential qualities include:
* A caring attitude and approach
* A positive attitude towards learning
* An understanding of routines and guidelines
* Confidence in using computers
Having a full UK manual driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
Shift Patterns
We offer tailored support with typical shifts from 10am-10pm, followed by sleepovers or waking night shifts. We are committed to flexibility to meet individual needs.
Interested?
Apply today! For questions, contact Bethany McHugh or Lauren O'Shea at 01236 918 800. We aim to fill this position quickly, so early applications are encouraged.
Successful candidates will need to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare, supported by our Training Academy.
Please note: If you've spent over 12 months outside the UK (excluding certain countries) in the last 10 years after turning 18, you'll need to provide a criminal record certificate as part of pre-employment checks. You must register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.
We welcome applications from all community sections and are committed to increasing workforce diversity.
