Job Description:
Following an exciting period of growth, a rare opportunity has arisen for a highly commercially minded Finance Business Partner.
My client embraces a diverse and flexible culture and offers the role either on a full-time basis, part-time (4 days a week), or with compressed hours. On-site requirements are 2-3 days a week.
You will provide commercial finance expertise to C-Suite executives, delivering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting & planning, as well as creating insightful analysis.
Responsibilities include:
* Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to develop an in-depth understanding of the business.
* Helping stakeholders and leadership understand revenue and cost opportunities and their impact on financial performance.
* Co-creating the three-year plan and budgets, ensuring risks and opportunities are identified and managed with appropriate remediation plans.
* Leading cost leadership initiatives and driving profitable growth and positive operating leverage.
* Collaborating with Data teams to prepare Financial Management Information, integrating financial and non-financial data.
* Owning the forecasting process, ensuring projections are commercially justified and activity-driven.
* Understanding the sales pipeline, conversion rates, revenue, and direct costs.
* Working with the Finance team to produce accurate profitability analyses.
* Supporting competitor analysis to inform investment opportunities, activity, and cost benchmarking.
* Balancing the perspectives of clients, colleagues, and shareholders.
* Promoting best practices across Financial Control and Commercial Finance teams.
About You:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) with extensive post-qualification commercial experience.
* Experience working in a commercial organization, liaising with all levels of stakeholders.
* Ability to understand strategic business goals, including revenue streams and pricing, and to interpret the wider business context.
* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
* Analytical and critical thinking skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Flexibility to manage conflicting demands and adapt to changing priorities.
* Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills.
