Data Sciencist
Location: Remote within NI
Salary: Up to 55k base plus bonus
We're working with a forward-thinking organisation that's building real-world intelligence from data. They're now hiring a Data Science Manager to help shape their data and AI strategy - leading projects that turn data into actionable insight, predictive capability, and commercial advantage.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can combine deep technical knowledge with clear business thinking. You'll guide a team of data scientists and engineers to design, deploy, and optimise models that drive measurable outcomes - from automating decision-making to uncovering new growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
* Collaborate across departments to understand challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
* Build and maintain data pipelines that support model development and deployment at scale.
* Communicate analytical findings to senior stakeholders in a clear, commercial way.
* Champion innovation - keeping the team up to speed with the latest tools, frameworks, and techniques in data science and AI.
* Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
Skills & Experience
* Strong background in developing and deploying machine learning or deep learning models in production.
* Skilled in Python and SQL, with experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch (R experience a plus).
* Excellent understanding of statistics, mathematics, and model evaluation.
* Proven ability to translate data outputs into business insight and influence decision-making.
* Degree-qualified (BSc, MSc or PhD) in a quantitative discipline.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
