Thames Hospice is an independent hospice based at Bray Lake, Maidenhead. Proudly serving our community for more than 36 years, we provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care as well as vital support for patient’s families.
For our Hospice at Home service, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Single Point of Access Administrator who is passionate about providing excellent care to people when they are most in need, facing the end of their lives in their own homes.
You must have an administrative background, IT knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic systems but you do not need to have experience of palliative or end of life care in a specialist setting. We will provide you with training and support, and you will always have telephone advice from the Single Point of Access Team Leader.
You will join a small team where you will be the first point of contact, processing referrals, managing the database system, generating reports, handling confidential patient documents, you will be highly organised and able to work under pressure with exceptional interpersonal skills.
The role will also involve weekend working with days off during the week and to cover annual leave in the team. It is anticipated to be approximately 1 in 3 weekends.
