Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team on a part time basis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes while ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a commitment to food safety standards and an ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring high-quality standards are met
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
* Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
* Develop new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food preparation
Skills
* Proven experience in a culinary role with strong kitchen experience
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team
* Excellent food preparation skills with attention to detail in cooking
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* A passion for hospitality and providing outstanding customer service
