Senior Support Worker
Location: The Hollies – Locks Heath / Highlands – Fareham
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £16.58 – £20.73 per hour
Hours: 37.5 per week (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)
Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team at either Locks Heath or Fareham. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment for children and young people with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to children and young people, ensuring a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
* Support the development and delivery of individual care plans.
* Engage children in activities that promote social, emotional, and educational growth.
* Lead and delegate responsibilities to the staff team, ensuring effective planning and smooth running of shifts.
* Supervise, support, and mentor junior staff members.
* Undertake delegated management responsibilities and on-call duties as required.
* Act as a keyworker, maintaining accurate records of progress and wellbeing.
* Work in partnership with families, professionals, and external agencies.
* Attend professional meetings as required.
* Uphold the values and objectives outlined in the home's statement of purpose.
Qualifications & Skills
* NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of childcare principles and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
* Ability to create and implement care plans effectively.
* Basic IT skills (training can be provided).
* A full driving licence is desirable, though not essential.
