Role: CNC Programmer/Miller
Location: Uxbridge
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
Our client is a well established precision engineering company supplying high quality machined components to industries including automotive, aerospace and general manufacturing. They are looking for an experience CNC Programmer/Miller to join their busy team.
Responsibilities:
* Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Machine components to tight tolerances and quality standards
* Perform first-off inspections and basic quality checks
* Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters
* Maintain machines and ensure safe operation
* Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a CNC Miller (programming, setting, and operating)
* Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Hurco controls preferred
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Apprenticeship or engineering qualification
* Experience with 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC machines
* Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
