Job Overview
Aberdeen International Study Centre (ISC) is based within the University of Aberdeen campus. You will work in a culture focused on enhancing learning, teaching, and assessment through a developmental approach, emphasizing autonomy, innovation, and development opportunities.
You will teach all Biology modules on our Undergraduate Foundation Programme, International Year 2, and/or Pre-Masters Programmes. Your role includes developing teaching materials and formative assessments, empowering students to progress into university through student-centered, engaging, and innovative learning. You will also undertake marking and feedback on assessments.
About the Role
* Contribute to the delivery and development of modules and teaching sessions offered by the Aberdeen ISC
* Prepare and deliver seminars and tutorials
* Create module tests and assessments
* Mark assessments and provide feedback, including student reports and tutorials
* Develop and update course materials, including for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
* Assist with induction, orientation, and registration programs
* Liaise with colleagues to support student welfare and progression
* Implement quality assurance procedures and contribute to course review
* Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance
* Participate in quality assurance meetings
About You
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (Essential)
* Teaching qualification (Desirable)
* Master’s in a related discipline (Essential for Pre-Masters Programme)
* Experience teaching in UK higher education or sixth form (Essential)
* Experience working with international students (Desirable)
