Salary – up to £35,806 per annum, depending on experience
Location – Café on The Water, Hanningfield, Chelmsford
Welcome to our beautiful Café on the Water, where we pride ourselves on offering a delightful culinary experience in a picturesque setting. We are seeking a creative, driven, and passionate Head Chef to join our team and lead our kitchen to new heights.
As our Head Chef, you will take full leadership of the kitchen, bringing your expertise and creativity to our breakfast and lunch menus. Your responsibilities will include designing and updating menus with innovative and delicious dishes, leading and managing a dedicated kitchen team, and ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene. You will oversee kitchen operations such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will collaborate with café management to create seasonal specials and promotional menus.
We offer attractive working hours with no evening shifts and only 3 out of 4 weekends required. You will find a supportive and friendly work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
We are looking for someone with proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role in catering. Strong culinary skills, excellent leadership and team management abilities, and a passion for creating innovative dishes are essential. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are also required.
