Senior Commercial Manager – Mainly remote with travel to Bristol 1-2 times a month max

The Role:
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing high-value defence contracts, from bidding and pre-signature negotiations to post-signature contract management. You will be responsible for ensuring commercial success, risk mitigation, and compliance within a highly regulated and strategic environment. Two roles are available: one mainly pre-signature, and one mainly post-signature.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead commercial activities across technology-led defence contracts.
* Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals.
* Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with key clients, suppliers, and government entities.
* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security frameworks.
* Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
* Provide commercial guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholders.
* Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to drive business objectives.
About You:
* Proven experience in a senior commercial/contracts management role.
* Strong understanding of defence contracts, including MOD and international agreements.
* Experience managing bids, pre-signature negotiations, and post-contract delivery.
* Excellent negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced environment.
