MI5 keeps the country safe from serious threats like terrorism and attempts by states to harm the UK, its people and way of life. We carry out investigations by obtaining, analysing and assessing intelligence, and then work with a range of partners, including MI6 and GCHQ to disrupt these threats. Through our protective security arm, we provide advice and guidance to government, businesses and other organisations about how to keep themselves safe. A role inMI5 means you’ll do unique and challenging work in a supportive and encouraging environment, making a real difference to UK national security.
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you’ll be vital to protecting and promoting the health and wellbeing of employees across our agencies. You’ll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide the best possible service. Day to day this will include managing casework, supporting employees with existing health conditions and helping teams build a culture that prioritises physical and mental health. With every case, you’ll ensure the advice you provide is relevant, timely, and that your recommendations are in line with medical standards and legislation.
We are looking for qualified Occupational Health Advisors, who are registered NMC Part 1, with solid knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation. You’ll have experience managing diverse and complex caseloads and you’ll be confident making evidence-based decisions. Crucially, you’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be passionate about delivering a prompt, efficient, and supportive service.
