About the Role
Start your engineering career supporting vital emergency services. Join us at our Walsall site, near Wolverhampton, to learn how to install, integrate, and maintain enhanced electrical systems in specialist vehicles used by the Police, Fire, and Ambulance services. Your work will help ensure these vehicles operate reliably in critical situations, supporting public safety across the UK.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Fit, repair, install, and integrate electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles
* Follow safety procedures and quality standards to ensure reliable vehicle performance
* Carry out fault‑finding and rectification on vehicle electrical systems
* Support the design and development of electrical solutions for specialist vehicles
* Work closely with experienced technicians and engineers to build your skills
Physical Demands
This position involves manual work, including lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods.
Schedule
Onsite at Walsall, Monday to Friday, with either a 7am or 8am start, totaling 39 hours per week. You’ll benefit from an early finish every Friday at either 1pm or 2pm, depending on your start time.
Essential Experience
* No prior experience required
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn technical skills
* Strong interest in automotive, electrical, or engineering work
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely
* Team‑focused mindset
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant motor vehicle qualification, or proven automotive electrical experience

Security Clearance
Must achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and NPPV security clearance.
