About the RoleWorking as our Workshop/Aftersales Technician your role will include:
Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of tools and domestic products, including
Hand tools
Power tools
Electrical and battery-operated equipment
Domestic products sold within our range and brand ranges
Carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks on returned and serviced products.
Working with warranty and outside warranty claims, providing accurate assessments and repair reports.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment despite a busy, high-volume workshop.
Keeping accurate records of repairs, parts used, and turnaround times.
Liaising with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical support and aftersales assistance.
Requirements
Skills required
Proven experience in repairing and servicing tools, power tools, or similar equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment.
Practical problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Team player with good communication skills.
Experience in wholesale or retail tool businesses.Desirable
Knowledge of PAT testing and UK electrical safety standards.
Qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related trade.
Strong computer literacy.
